The Reading-born rapper announces a string of UK dates of April 2024
Songer is a young rapper from Wokingham, Reading, who began attracting hype as a teenager after a couple of sessions on the BL@CKBOX platform in the late 2010s. His lyrical style has been described as hard-hitting, addressing themes such as grief and racism, accompanied by a dynamic mix of instrumentals inspired by jungle, drum'n'bass and more traditional grime and UK rap styles. His 2019 debut full-length Dream Workz solidified his intent to take his talents further, with its 2021 follow up The Sunrise Project following suit.
In 2023 Songer collaborated with grime stalwart D Double E on '04:59'.
In 2024, the rapper will embark on a headline tour visiting Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and London.
Not only is songer an amazing artist but he absolutely shut down reading festival. He needs to be on the main stage, amazing vibes, great performance, would love to see him live again - what a legend Did somebody say red wine all summer?!
