Parra for Cuva Tickets

Following the huge demand for his October show at Scala, Parra For Cuva has announced another UK appearance. The German producer and DJ will return in May 2022 for a date at London's Koko.

German house DJ and producer Parra For Cura trades in evocative digital soundscapes, all interwoven with classical, jazz and hip hop flourishes.

Born Nicolas Demuth, the Lower Saxony native got his musical start as a child, playing classical piano before moving towards jazz in his teens. Demuth developed an interest in electronica and hip hop in his teens, which led to him connecting all the above dots and beginning to embellish his piano recordings with digital beats and synthesizers.

Demuth followed this muse towards its spiritual home in Berlin, studying audio design and creating the Parra For Cura moniker for his excursions into the city’s famous house scene. His debut EP Fading Nights came out in 2013, recorded with his childhood friend and frequent collaborator Anna Naklab. The two struck gold with their next collaboration, a cover of Chris Isaak’s hit single Wicked Game, which reached No.6 in the UK charts in 2014.

Parra For Cura’s debut album Majouré arrived in 2015, followed a year later by his second, Darwîs. His third album Paspatou was released in 2018 to widespread acclaim, with Clash magazine praising its “gorgeous, dappled electronics with analogue flourishes”. Juno followed in 2021.
