About

The superstar standup returns with his brand new show, A Manford All Seasons

Born in 1981, it took only 17 years for comedian, writer, actor, television and radio presenter Jason Manford to make his mark on the live circuit. Working as a glass collector at the Buzz Comedy Club in Manchester's suburban area of Chorlton, Manford stepped in when a scheduled performer failed to turn up. Just six live gigs later he claimed The City Life North West Comedian Of The Year award, launching a career that would cement him as a household name across the United Kingdom.

Inspired by family-friendly entertainers such as Eric Morecambe, Tommy Cooper and Les Dawson, and citing both Billy Connolly and Peter Kay as catalysts for his love of comedy, Jason Manford secured a nomination for the coveted Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2005 for his debut Urban Legends show. Then described by Chortle as a triumphant performance "unashamedly dedicated to good, uncomplicated fun", he picked up their award for Best Breakthrough Act in 2006.

That same year Jason Manford made the jump from comedy club stages to screen, joining team captain Dave Spikey on Channel 4's 8 Out Of 10 Cats in 2006. Well-received by the show's regulars and audiences alike, Manford was invited to join as a team captain in 2007, holding the position until he amicably parted ways in 2011. During his time as team captain on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Jason Manford was joined by the likes of actor Danny Dyer, the legendary Joan Rivers, presenters Carol Voderman, Claudia Winkleman and Lauren Laverne, as well as huge names from across the world of comedy.

Manford's TV career included presenting BBC One's First & Last, ITV's What Would Your Kid Do? and hosting at the prestigious Olivier Awards. In 2020, he donned a hedgehog outfit to place second on ITV's The Masked Singer, finishing behind Girls Aloud's Nicola Roberts – herself performing as a queen bee.

Described as "effortlessly entertaining" by the Evening Standard, Jason Manford has also celebrated West End credits, first performing as Adolfo Pirelli in the 2012 production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street at London's Adelphi Theatre. Manford's theatre career has seen him appear in The Producers, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Guys And Dolls, and as Frank Cioffi in Curtains in 2019. He also joined Absolute Radio in 2016, presenting on a Sunday morning.

Jason Manford is back with his brand-new live show, A Manford All Seasons. Jason’s been busy since his last smash-hit stand up show but fans of his Absolute Radio show will know this nationally acclaimed comedian hasn’t changed a bit. A Manford All Seasons is Jason’s latest comic offering set to hit the road, and it sure to be ‘expert observational comedy’ (The Guardian) mixed with ‘comic gold’ (Mail on Sunday).

“Manford successfully straddles the line between contemporary stand-up and old-school mainstream entertainment” – The Guardian

"…You'll doubtless love this show" – Manchester Evening News

“He's blessed with the sort of laid-back charm and sharp turn of phrase you can't manufacture” **** – Daily Telegraph

  • Great night

by Sue on 14/11/2024The Brighton Centre - BrightonRating: 5 out of 5

Jason Manford was as good as ever. Such good entertainment. He made a good connection with the audience as he relates every day occurrences to his comedy which had us in stitches. The Brighton Centre is also a very good venue. One of our party is hearing impaired but the sound is of good quality at Brighton so he never misses any of what is being said.

Well... we arrived to a DJ playing good music but at a volume that made your ears bleed. After suffering that we had a group of chaps called 'The noise next door's and noise it was. 5 dad's trying to be funny and failing. Then we had another burst of the deafening DJ. We were all pleased when Jason came on. Brilliant fun so relaxed like an evening with a good friend. Weldone Jason. Love ya. The others not so much

As always, very funny and a great night. Side note to the venue (Derby) the seating layout was shocking- Row A, seat 14 equalled 10ft past the end of the stage and barley able to see Jason!

As expected, Jason was absolutely hilarious, and as he'd hoped, the evening was just like being down the pub with one of your mates. Brilliant, ********** (10 stars).

I cried with laughter from start to finish. Nice to see we still have a comedian that can tell stories without being crude and using foul language. Brilliant night ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great night, we didn't realise there was a support act, but she was very funny (Sally Ann Hayward). Jason was his usual relaxed style, with new material about observations. It's the first time we've seen him live, but seen him on tv many times. We just never get tired of him.. he must be the hardest working comedian/actor/singer and charity worker out there.

  • Fantastic evening in Crewe

by GillyT on 21/10/2024Rating: 5 out of 5

What a brilliantly funny show, from the moment Jason came out on stage . There's a 40 year age gap between myself and youngest and humour doesn't always reach all ages but it did on Saturday at Crewe. Helping us make memories, thank you

  • Fantastic.

  • Great, uplifting evening

by Hyacinth on 19/10/2024Crewe Lyceum Theatre - CreweRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter had an evening away from the children yesterday when I took her to see Jason Manford at Crewe Lyceum, as part of her birthday present. As the show started at 6.30pm it had involved getting through heavy traffic after she had finished work, but turned out to be ideal as we were able to go out for dinner after the show. I really liked the way Jason acknowledged the effort people put in to visit shows as this is something I've never heard anyone comment on before. Jason was excellent, and at no time did he insult members of the audience as so many comedians seem to do. The venue was small but perfectly suitable for a more engaging show, and Jason's observational humour was excellent. I was pleased there was no supporting act, just the Main Man. Timing of the show (90 mins) was perfect as I don't think we could have kept up the constant laughter for much longer without having a break. Well done, Jason Manford - you definitely brought joy and happiness to Crewe yesterday evening. Good luck with the tour … you are brilliant.

Absolutely fantastic night . So funny . So much better not having an interval

  • Brilliantly funny gentle humour

by Iano on 19/10/2024Playhouse, Whitley Bay - Whitley BayRating: 5 out of 5

Really relaxed gentle humour, cleverly crafted, nostalgic at times but crackingly funny. The chip pan bit and Dad's car had me crying with laughter. As Jason says he is not looking to be cruel or controversial but if you want to hear a man gently ribbing himself and his age and Gen Z. I will reflect on my banking App Jason before my friends go to prison.

Lucky enough to see Jason Manford doing a warm up show prior to his arena tour... Love his situational humour and his dad jokes. So lucky to see him in a local venue. He seems like one of the good guys 👍
