General Information:
What is Hoxton Hall?
Hoxton Hall, a Grade II* listed performance arts theatre and community centre at 130 Hoxton Street, London, was built in 1863 as a Victorian music hall by James Mortimer. One of the few surviving venues of its kind, it originally entertained workingclass audiences during the industrial era. Later, it became a Quaker mission supporting the local community before evolving into a vibrant cultural hub. Today, it blends its rich history with modern creativity, hosting performances, music events, and community activities, while remaining a treasured landmark of Londons artistic heritage.
Our Vision: Everyone thrives through the joy and togetherness of creativity.
Our Mission: Hoxton Hall is a creative hub where people feel empowered to pursue their artistic endeavours. We are on a mission to celebrate the rich diversity of East London by connecting and collaborating with our communities, bringing them together with artists in a joyful, equitable space where talent is nurtured. Together, we build creative stairways for everyone to achieve their own potential.
Hoxton Hall design features a compact and intimate layout typical of Victorian music halls, with galleries and a flexible ground floor space. This setup allows for standing audiences during concerts, performances, and events and theres an upper balcony with additional seating, though accessibility for the upper level is limited. Please check each events page for the specific layout as this can vary.
Is there a bar?
Yes, a bar is available, but queues during intervals can make access slower.
