About

Forbidden Fruit returns to Royal Hospital Kilmainham on the June Bank Holiday Saturday and Sunday 2 June 2024.

With megahits like ‘Turn Off the Light’ and ‘I'm Like a Bird’, ‘Promiscuous’ and ‘Maneater’ under her belt, headliner NELLY FURTADO is bound to be bringing a set filled with TUNES! Her number 1 hit with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake ‘Give It To Me’ got its sequel when she teamed up with them again to release ‘Keep Going Up’ with the pair in September. Three of Furtado’s previous solo albums (Loose, Whoa Nelly and Folklore) have received various platinum or multi-platinum certifications worldwide. She’s sold over 45 million records - and we’re thrilled for what will be her first time in Ireland since Slane 2000 and her Irish festival debut.

Kieran Hebden AKA FOUR TET, brings his incredible show to close the main stage of Forbidden Fruit 2024. After a standout year that saw Four Tet close the Coachella main stage alongside collaborators Fred Again… & Skrillex who he also shared the stage with at the likes of Madison Square Garden and Alexandra Palace. The trio also collaborated on a song called “Baby Again..,” a new song that prominently samples Lil Baby and has been a floor filler. Watch. His unique sound and melodies incorporate elements of hip-hop, electronicatechnojazzgrime and folk music with live instrumentation, with some of his newer tracks being inspired heavily by techno music. He’s also remixed tracks by the likes of Aphex Twin, Explosions In The Sky, Super Furry Animals, Radiohead and Manic Street Preachers, amongst others.

YES, THEY ARE BACK! Belfast’s electronic music duo BICEP are returning to Dublin after a sell-out 3arena show this St Patrick's Day, returning to headline the festival for the second time after a sensational post-covid sell-out in 2022. Known for incredible audio-visual shows and standout sound, this year the BICEP boys present CHROMA, their audiovisual DJ Set at FF24.

Next up, FREDDIE GIBBS - an acclaimed rapper whose technical proficiency and provocative lyrics won over fans of gangsta rap as well as underground hip-hop, and next year he will come to Dublin to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of his album Piñata.

The Guardian said of our next act BARRY CAN’T SWIM that his ‘warm, uplifting and hugely danceable music provides welcome escapism’. Anyone who caught his live debut at All Together Now 2023 will know that his live show is exhilarating, with his Vicar Street show selling out in minutes he’s one of the hottest artists around right now, so this is not to be missed.

English record producer, DJ, singer and songwriter NIA ARCHIVES is best known for her work in the jungle and drum and bass genres.  OVERMONO ‘mix weapons-grade nostalgia with two-step, trap and sped-up vocals in a set full of emotional ambushes.’ The Guardian. The Welsh duo have gone from strength to strength with huge festival plays at Electric Picnic and All Together Now, followed up by a sold-out Vicar Street headline which coincided with their massive Warehouse Project Boiler Room which just dropped, featuring Irish artist For Those I Love. Watch

Electronic duo GROOVE ARMADA need no introduction - they’ll be bringing what is sure to be an unforgettable DJ set our way. Electro-indie-house-pop LE BOOM shows are a frenzy of glass-bottle beats, layered loops, catchy vocal hooks and sweaty fans.

Expect sweeping emotive cuts, verdant dancefloor workouts, discerning dips into jungle, and breaks from the next act DJ SEINFELD. UK hip hop duo fresh off the back of playing All Together Now 23, we bring you  FRANKIE STEW AND HARVEY GUNN. Also joining the bill is vocalist and producer from West London, GEORGE RILEY. Belfast-born, Berlin-based DJ SALLY C’s inspired selector skills have cemented her as one of the most exciting new artists on the scene. Get set for electronic producer salute who is due to release his debut album on Ninja Tune soon. British-Armenian producer HAGOP TCHAPARIAN released his debut LP last year, which Rolling Stone called ‘One of 2022’s Best Dance Albums’
