City Morgue Tickets

In 2016, on his first day out of prison on a drug charge, Long Island-raised Junius “ZillaKami” Rogers met Spanish Harlem native Vinicius “SosMula” Sosa. Not long after, the pair started recording music with producer Sami “Thraxx” Nehari under the moniker City Morgue.

Before he’d begun rapping, ZillaKami was a metalhead and his favourite bands were Behemoth and Slipknot. That obsession matched with SosMula’s love of bands like Oasis, Marilyn Manson, Nirvana and Rob Zombie helped shape their unique and bracing sound. 

City Morgue’s debut EP Be Patient. – titled as a message to fans that they’d have to wait a bit longer for the full-length album – came out in summer 2018. That autumn City Morgue Vol. 1: Hell Or High Water arrived, replete with songs containing penetrating synths with riff-heavy, destabilising bass. Their provocative music videos also set them apart, with excessive imagery of dangerously dangled firearms and drug usage.

When City Morgue Vol 2: As Good Ad Dead was released in 2019, it saw ZillaKami and SosMula return with more thrashing music as well as tracks influenced by punk, alternative rock and emo. 

City Morgue unveiled Toxic Boogaloo in 2020, serving as a teaser before the duo reveal the third instalment of their album series. In June 2021, they announced a special show in London on 26 August 2021 at O2 Academy Islington.
